The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault.
It is reported that:

• on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at 7:50 p.m., a woman was walking in the Royal YorkRoad/Dundas Street West area.
• a man approached the woman from behind and sexually assaulted her,
• the woman screamed and struggled with the man and broke free,
• the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as black, 20-25, 5' 6", with an afro hairstyle.

He was last seen wearing dark clothing and carrying a black backpack.
