Police request assistance with firearm investigation, Loaded semi-automatic handgun recovered PDF Print E-mail

On Friday, June 5, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., police responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the Finch Avenue West/Martin Grove Road area.

It is reported that:

  • two men attempted to enter a home and were confronted by the victim,
  • suspect one produced a handgun,
  • the victim grabbed the handgun and, during the struggle, the handgun went off,
  • the two suspects fled and a semi?automatic handgun was recovered.

The suspects are described as

  1. black, 17-22 and 5'5". He was last seen wearing black pants and a yellow, hooded sweatshirt
  2. black, 20-25 and 5'8". He was last seen wearing a white baseball hat and white hooded sweatshirt.
