On Sunday, June 7, 2009, at 4:54 a.m., police responded to a sound of gunshots call at 340 Dixon Road.

Officers located two victims suffering from obvious injuries. Both males were taken to hospital, where one of the victims, 16, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time.

A post-mortem examination has determined the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

Homicide investigators are appealing to anyone with information who was in the area between Dixon Road/Kipling Avenue.
