On May 6th 2009, two men wearing Halloween masks set fire to an adult video store after spraying two people with a substance.

The two masked men walked into the store which is located in a strip mall on The Queensway just east of Kipling Avenue.

The substance they sprayed appears to possibly be pepper spray which they directed at a female employee and male customer, promptly following the spray they then threw a backpack which quickly ignited behind the cash counter of the store.

The masked men ran out to a waiting car on Nordin Avenue apparently laughing as they went, and drove away.

The fire is said to have caused about $6,000 worth of damage.

The police have sent evidence recovered from inside the backpack - along with the white substance to a forensics lab for testing.

Please contact Toronto Police at 416 808 2204 if you were a witness to this incident.
