There will be a brand new courthouse built here in Etobicoke.

At the courthouse there will be at least two dedicated room for high priority major cases.

The construction of this new courthouse is scheduled to start in roughly two years in the are of the Westwood Theatre Land which is located not far from Bloor and Dundas Street West and Kipling Ave.

Projections suggest that this facility will be big enough to maintain the needs of residents in Etobicoke for the next 30 years.

Another achievement for Etobicoke as it will be more convenient to attend court dates and will generate more jobs in our community.

Wasn't there some talk about a YMCA or community centre being built on those lands? I'd be curious to see how the building will be designed, how much land will be taken up by it, etc in respect to the city's plans for the area -- one of more street life and pedestrian access (thus the plans to level the area and make at-grade intersections, though I don't know if those are committed).
