The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a shooting investigation.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a shooting call at a housing complex in the Jamestown Crescent/John Garland Boulevard area.

It is reported that:

  • a 23-year-old man was walking in the area when he was approached by five or six males, one armed with a handgun,
  • after a brief confrontation, several gunshots were fired.

The victim attended hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
