Lights self titled EP has caught the ears of millions of people across Canada and the U.S.A. and over into Europe.

This album reeks of synthesizers, keytars, keyboards and drums. Lights has had multiple hits off only an EP, such as "February Air" which was first heard by many on an old navy commercial. Since then she has went on to release two more single.

The other singles she has released being "DRIVE MY SOUL" and most recent "ICE".

The album takes you through six songs which range in feels, catchy lyrics, and sometimes mind blowing lyrically challenging breakdowns, such as in the song "ICE".

With this pop synth sensation she has not compromised her lyrical integrity, she still delivers intelligent lyrics through new loves and love song to break-up and the cold seasons of "February Air".

What I think is important to realize about Lights is that she has to date only released a six song Ep, and with that she has developed a very strong fan base!

As we speak she has won a 2009 Juno award for "BEST NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR" just off an EP!, so what she could do once she has released full lengths is unimaginable. Overall I give this CD a (10/10). This Canadian bomb shell is one to look out for when her full length album drops, which has been rumored to be dropping in August 09.

If you are lucky enough to see lights in concerts or meet her you will be pleasantly surprised at her enormous amount of talent and charisma. This album is defiantly a buy and even a better vinyl to get if you are lucky enough to find 1 of 500 limited copies. -Sam Mauerhofer
