At the beginning of January 2009, police started a criminal harassment and indecent act investigation in the Etobicoke area.
It is alleged that:
- between Tuesday, January 29, 2002 and Wednesday, March 25, 2009, the accused, while driving, followed girls and women,
- the accused would get the victim's attention and commit an indecent act in their presence,
- the victims were aged between 13 and 24.
On Thursday, March 26, 2009, Petru Bacci, 63, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
- seven counts of indecent act,
- six counts of criminal harassment.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Ave. West, on Friday, March 27, 2009, room 206, at 10 a.m.
Police believe there may be more victims.
