mapWe are accustomed to reporting about pedestrians being struck by motor vehicles. But in a strange turn of events, it seems that this time around it was the vehicle that was struck.

On the night of Saturday, March 21, a car was struck by a 71 year old woman running across Rexdale Blvd at Queen's Plate Drive. She somehow managed to run into the side of the vehicle, which is rather difficult to figure out the mechanics of how that would actually happen.

The woman is still in the hospital suffering a head injury, and anyone with information about the run-and-hit incident is asked to contact police at 416-808-1900.

We've received a report from the family that she is still in the hospital recovering, and they are still confused as to the mechanics of the situation. Our thoughts and concern go out to the family.
