On Friday evening there was a nasty crash on the 407. The family involved in the incident were traveling east bound on the 407 near the 427. They were driving in a Mercedes when it got hit by a Chevy pick-up truck that was changing lanes. The Mercedes was sent into the guard-rail.

The 14 year old son got the worst of the incident, he was in the back passenger side of the car, he was immediately taken to Sick Kids hospital and is still there with critical head injuries.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the incident. All parties have been interviewed and the vehicle has been thoroughly examined.

The mother and daughter were taken to Etobicoke General Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The father sustained minor injuries.
