On Friday, March 13, 2009, at 12:25 a.m., police were investigating a robbery in the 2777 Kipling Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

  • police saw a man with a gun,
  • police entered an apartment and located three people,
  • police seized a loaded .32 calibre revolver.

Omarie Brooks, 18, of Toronto, and Daniel Williams, 18, of Toronto, have each been charged with:

  1. Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition,
  2. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
  3. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized,
  4. Careless Storage of a Firearm,
  5. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by the Commission of an Offence,
  6. Careless Storage Ammunition.

They were scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, March 13, 2009, room 306, at 10 a.m.

A 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:

  1. Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition,
  2. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
  3. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized,
  4. Careless Storage of a Firearm,
  5. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by the Commission of an Offence,
  6. Careless Storage Ammunition.

She was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, March 13, 2009, room 204, at 10 a.m.
