Humber Bay Shores Condominium Association
Green condos are once again on the radar with Humber Bay Shores’ Annual Appreciation Event celebrating green lighting, cleaning, and procurement on Wednesday, March 11, 2009.
This year’s event will feature displays from innovative green companies like Boomerang Paint, green ice melter, CRS Electronics, Delta, ATS – American Standard, Zip Car, The City of Toronto – Waste Management and Water Conservation, and Ecovert Corporation. Featured products provide innovative, cost effective solutions to a condo’s biggest headaches: reducing energy and maintenance costs, increasing carpet life, and addressing tenant demands for healthier, more environmentally friendly spaces.
The event will be well attended by local politicians and dignitaries: MPP Laurel Broten, Councillor Mark Grimes, Chief Conservation Officer Peter Love (to be confirmed), and a representative from local MP Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff.
The evening will open with remarks from Leo Blindenbach, HBSCA President and Jim Lord, HBSCA Past President and Principal of Ecovert Corporation.
Refreshments will be served from 7:30 to 9:30 in the Piano Lounge (47th Floor) at Palace Place Condominium on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Palace Place Condominium is located at 1 Palace Pier Court in Toronto. Valet parking will be provided.
Humber Bay Shores Condominium Association represents 6,000 Humber River condominium residents in South Etobicoke. HBSCA members are leaders in energy conservation and educate their residents on how to reduce their environmental footprint. HBSCA’s recent LED lighting retrofit at The Palace Pier was the largest in North America and set a tremendous precedent for greening Toronto condominiums.
