Our Lakeshore is a group of residents organized to work with the community, business owners and all levels of government in a business district revitalization effort. The Shop the Shore event is a perfect example of this team’s effort. To make this thing happen:
  • Residents acquired support and resources from the local BIA, municipal, provincial and federal governments.
  • Residents canvassed businesses to get their involvement.
  • Residents made sure that all of their neighbours know about the event and why its important that we support the businesses we have.
Their website is another example. The only objective of this site is to provide another channel through which residents, organizations and businesses can hold the public conversation about what is going on in this area. By organizing ourselves, we the residents can ensure that we have a voice in the progress that is made in Our Lakeshore. Visit OurLaksshore.net and join in the conversation.

Thanks for your comments. It is very important for the Lakeshore community to have a voice.

As a community, we are very excited with all the developments taking shape here on the Lakeshore. Let's all pull together and make The Lakeshore what it should be, a beautiful diverse and happy place.
