Durham police arrested a businessman from Etobicoke and seized $40 million dollars worth of cocaine that had all consealed inside boxes of hot sauce.
There was about 276 kilograms of 80% pure cocaine hidden in these boxes of hot sauce, they were all headed to Caribbean International Food Distributors in Etobicoke.
When this cocaine is prepared for street-level use, this shipment would have had a potential yield of about 400 kilograms of cocaine, that's about one weeks worth of cocaine for the whole of the Greater Toronto Area, this was a huge bust.
45 year old Mahendrapaul Doodnauth who lived at Seguin Court in Etobicoke was arrested on Friday after he was unloading all of the boxes of hot sauce at a rented storage unit on Rexdale Boulevard.
