The fire took place on Monday November 10 around 4pm, across the street from the John Corrigan Catholic School in Etobicoke (near Martin Grove and Steeles). Natalia Harispuru, a teacher at the school, rushed across the road, and risked her own life to save two teenagers inside the burning house.

One of the teens is physically disabled, and Natalia could hear the girl's brother calling for help. She was able to pull them to safety with the help of a few others from the school. Even though the two have suffered serious burn injuries, they are alive thanks to this heroic woman and those that helped.

There is apparently over $250,000 damage to the house from the fire. But no doubt the parents are just happy that their children survived!
