A 34 year old Etobicoke resident was the victim of a shooting on the 20th, and it may have been incited by road rage. Apparently he was pulling into his driveway when the car drove up and the passenger fired three rounds at him, one hitting him in the shoulder. Despite serious injuries, he has been released from the hospital.
He claims that a "minor traffic incident" took place just before the shooting, and the shooters were strangers.
Families nearby heard the shots, and children were playing in the area at the time of the shooting. This all took place near Finch Avenue and Highway 27
This is the kind of thing that makes people want to leave an area. That's very sad, considering that a neighbourhood could be very safe, and a couple of thugs destroy that sense of safety in one act of heated violence.
People need to control themselves better, and be more courteous on the road.
